Easy Treat Monkey Bread Recipe (With Biscuits in a Can!)

This is still a long way off i the majority I asked my kids for a breakfast recipe! THEY LOVE IT. We save this Lazy Monkey Bread for special occasions – birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays – as it’s not the healthiest recipe ever, haha.

But it is so It’s delicious and easier than traditional monkey bread or cinnamon rolls from scratch (and, considering I always make this recipe on busy days, that’s a huge plus!).

You can make your own biscuit dough if you have extra time, but biscuits from a tin are quick to throw together.

This recipe comes from my husband’s side of the family, and I think he’s been eating these divisive songs all his life. I already know for sure that it will be a recipe my kids make for themselves one day, which makes this a very special recipe for me.

Ingredients for Lazy Monkey Bread

  • 1 butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tins of large biscuits
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon

How to Make Easy Monkey Bread

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a large sauce pan, heat and stir butter, brown sugar, corn syrup until boiling.

Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a pan on the stove.

2. Pour into a 9×13 pan and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

3. In a bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.

4. Cut each biscuit in half. Coat each half in cinnamon and sugar (make sure each side is tied) then place each side of the biscuit on the bottom of the pan.

5. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Turn out onto a cookie sheet or rectangular serving platter as soon as you take it out of the oven.
